Reading Week

Reading Week

 Dear ASA Parent(s):

During the week of October 13-17, we will be celebrating Reading Week.  The objective of the celebration is to promote reading comprehension and enjoyment.  Each day during the week, we will have different activities and events that will involve all members of the ASA community.

Elementary school parents are invited to read a favorite book in their child´s classroom throughout the week.  Teachers will create a schedule which will be posted outside the classroom.  Classroom time is very important so please be on time!  Also, make sure the book you select to read is developmentally and grade level appropriate.  It can be in the language of your choice.

If you have any questions regarding your book selection, please contact your child´s teacher.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:

Monday, October 13th:  FLIP OUT FOR READING!

Read-a-thon is held in front of the elementary office where all students, teachers, and aides will be reading all day long.  Students may wear flip-flops

Tuesday, October 14th:  HATS OFF FOR READING!

Students may wear hats to school.
