Linden and Education USA
On Monday, September 19th, ASA had the privilege of hosting college representatives touring with Linden and Education USA. Feedback from the reps was really encouraging. ASA was the first school on the Latin America tour and they said that we really set the bar high for other schools. They were impressed not only with the amount of respect and kindness our students showed them, but also with their academic preparedness. Students heard first hand how small colleges differ from large ones, how geography can impact students’ decision making process and that some colleges don’t require exams like SAT or ACT, just to name a few. There really is something for everyone. In the end, this was time well spent for our students even if they don’t plan to apply to any of the colleges in attendance at the fair. Experiences like this are very helpful in guiding students to their best college match.
El lunes 19 de septiembre, tuvimos el privilegio de presentar a los representantes universitarios que están haciendo un tour con Linden y Education USA. El comentario de los representantes fue muy alentador. ASA fue el primer colegio que visitaron del tour Latinoamericano y dijeron que nuestra institución realmente sobrepasó las expectativas y puso el listón alto para las demás instituciones. Quedaron impresionados no solo con la calidad del respeto y educación de nuestros estudiantes sino también con la preparación académica de los mismos. Los estudiantes pudieron ver cómo difieren las universidades pequeñas de las más grandes, como la ubicación geográfica puede tener un impacto en el proceso de decisión de los estudiantes y que algunas universidades no tienen como requisito haber tomado los exámenes de SAT o ACT entre otras cosas. Realmente hay algo para todos. Al final, esto ha sido de mucho provecho para nuestros alumnos, inclusive si no están planeando aplicar a ninguna de las universidades que vinieron con la feria. Experiencias como esta pueden ser de mucha ayuda para guiarlos a encontrar su mejor opción universitaria.
