International Art Exchange

This semester 5th Grade is participating in an International Art Exchange with students in Omaha, Nebraska.

Each 5th grader created an artwork of a significant place in their city.  They then wrote about the place they chose in Asuncion, Paraguay on the back of their art and introduced themselves to students in the United States.  In return, 5th graders will be receiving artwork from students in Omaha of significant places in Omaha, Nebraska.

The goal of this exchange is for students to learn about their city, to learn about a different city in another country, to discover similarities and differences between different cities, and to gain a stronger understanding of the world in which they live.

Este semestre el 5 º Grado está participando de un intercambio internacional de arte con alumnos de Omaha, Nebraska.

Cada alumno de 5to grado ha creado una obra de arte de un lugar significativo en su ciudad. Luego escribieron sobre el lugar que escogieron en Asunción, Paraguay en la parte posterior de su trabajo y se presentaron a los estudiantes de Estados Unidos. A cambio, los alumnos de 5to grado van a recibir obras de arte de alumnos de Omaha de los lugares significativos en Omaha, Nebraska.

El objetivo de este intercambio es que los estudiantes aprendan sobre su ciudad, conocer una ciudad diferente en otro país, descubrir semejanzas y diferencias entre diferentes ciudades, y ganar una mayor comprensión del mundo en el que viven.
