Exploring Culture: Middle School Folklore Day Projects

In commemoration of Paraguayan Folklore Day and the traditional Karu Guasu, our Middle School students (6th, 7th, and 8th grades) completed wonderful educational projects aimed at valuing, preserving, and sharing our rich cultural roots.

Their work showcased both heritage and nature:

• Ñandutí Illustrations: Students explored the history and symbolism of this iconic Paraguayan lace craft and created vibrant illustrations of its designs.
• Paraguayan Flora: Creative drawings and collages brought attention to the country's native biodiversity and its importance.
• Legends & Literature: Students promoted comprehensive reading and critical analysis of traditional legends, such as Ñandutí and Karaü, delving into their teachings and contemporary relevance.

These enthusiastic projects helped students connect with their cultural identity, strengthen their national pride, and ignite their creativity!

En conmemoración del Día del Folclore Paraguayo y el tradicional Karu Guasu, nuestros alumnos de Escuela Media (6º, 7º y 8º grados) realizaron maravillosos proyectos educativos destinados a valorar, preservar y compartir nuestras ricas raíces culturales.

Sus trabajos resaltaron tanto el patrimonio como la naturaleza:

• Ilustraciones del Ñandutí: Los alumnos exploraron la historia y el simbolismo de esta icónica artesanía paraguaya de encaje y crearon vibrantes ilustraciones de sus diseños.
• Flora Paraguaya: Dibujos y collages creativos destacaron la biodiversidad nativa del país y su importancia.
• Leyendas y Literatura: Los alumnos promovieron la lectura comprensiva y el análisis crítico de leyendas tradicionales, como la del Ñandutí y el Karaü, profundizando en sus enseñanzas y relevancia contemporánea.

Estos entusiastas proyectos ayudaron a los alumnos a conectar con su identidad cultural, fortalecer su orgullo nacional y despertar su creatividad.
