ASA Elementary School Celebrates Paraguayan Folklore Day!
On Thursday, September 24th, the ASA community gathered to celebrate our annual Elementary School Folklore Day—a vibrant event filled with music, color, and rich Paraguayan traditions.
The morning opened with welcoming words from ES Principal Ms. Bethany Blevins:
"A time to come together to celebrate all of our students, celebrate Paraguayan culture, and celebrate learning and sharing together. I want to start off by thanking our students. You guys have worked so hard with Ms. Karina. You look beautiful today, and we're so excited to see your performances. I want to thank families for being here today. We appreciate your support. And teachers, for all of your guidance and understanding and support with our students as they prepared for today."
Campus came alive with red, white, and blue as students from K5 through 5th grade took the stage to perform traditional Paraguayan dances.
In addition to dance showcase, the students sang under the direction of Mr. Arturo Allegretti, and even the teachers joined in with a special Paraguayan dance performance!
Thank you to our music teachers, staff, and families for supporting our students and making this celebration of culture and community so memorable.
