A Practically Perfect Success: Secondary Musical Lights Up the CCPA Theatre!

Our Secondary school students brought the magic of theater to life at the CCPA Teatro de las Américas with their spectacular and unforgettable production of Mary Poppins Jr.! From the opening note to the final curtain call, the audience was captivated by the incredible vocal clarity, brilliant acting, and high-energy choreography that brought this timeless Disney classic to life.

The production was anchored by stellar performances from Katherine Pratt as the magical Mary Poppins and Marco Ferreira as the charismatic Bert. The Banks family was brought to life by Filip Bubak (George Banks), Amelia Filosa (Winifred Banks), Mackenzie Pullen (Jane Banks), and Martin Ferreira (Michael Banks).

Every moment on stage radiated joy and professionalism, thanks to a phenomenal supporting cast and ensemble including Julieta Benitez (Mrs. Brill), Jack Aguirre (Robertson Ay), Valeria Jikal (Neleus), Samara Giraldo (Bird Woman), Mirei Takahashi (the formidable Miss Andrew), and Maria Han (Mrs. Corry), alongside Margaret Brookes, Clara Rivas, Niwa Lee-Davis, Julian Levin, Ferran Estigarribia, Geronimo Gines, and our dedicated teams of Sweeps, Clerks, Bees, and Statues.

Behind the scenes, the dedication, teamwork, and creativity shone just as brightly. The show was brought to life by Director Gustavo Aquino Navarro, alongside Assistant Directors Katherine Pratt, Mackenzie Pullen, and Marco Ferreira. The visual and technical elements were executed by Julia Gil (Lights and Sound), Elias Estigarribia (Stage Manager), Samara Giraldo & Maria del Mar Giraldo (Prop Design), and Catalina Montanaro & Michelle Burnett (Hair & Makeup), with costumes by Mabel Cisterna. The dance numbers, were leaded by the student choreography team of Nicole Mattosch, Martin Ferreira, Mirei Takahashi, Katherine Pratt, and Mackenzie Pullen.

Finally, a massive thank you to all the parents, teachers, student volunteers and ASA administration team who supported our talented performers every step of the way. It was truly a supercalifragilisticexpialidocious success that left a lasting legacy on the CCPA stage. Congratulations to the entire cast, crew, and creative team on a triumphant production!

¡Nuestros estudiantes de Secundaria dieron vida a la magia del teatro en el CCPA Teatro de las Américas con su espectacular e inolvidable producción de Mary Poppins Jr.!   Desde la primera nota hasta el último saludo, el público quedó cautivado por la increíble claridad vocal, la brillante actuación y la enérgica coreografía que dieron vida a este clásico atemporal de Disney.

La producción contó con las magníficas interpretaciones de Katherine Pratt como la mágica Mary Poppins y Marco Ferreira como el carismático Bert. La familia Banks cobró vida gracias a Filip Bubak (George Banks), Amelia Filosa (Winifred Banks), Mackenzie Pullen (Jane Banks) y Martin Ferreira (Michael Banks).

Cada momento en escena irradiaba alegría y profesionalismo, gracias a un elenco y conjunto de apoyo fenomenal, que incluía a Julieta Benitez (Sra. Brill), Jack Aguirre (Robertson Ay), Valeria Jikal (Neleus), Samara Giraldo (Mujer Pájaro), Mirei Takahashi (la formidable Señorita Andrew) y Maria Han (Sra. Corry), junto con Margaret Brookes, Clara Rivas, Niwa Lee-Davis, Julian Levin, Ferran Estigarribia, Geronimo Gines y nuestros dedicados equipos de Barrenderos, Empleados, Abejas y Estatuas.

Tras bambalinas, la dedicación, el trabajo en equipo y la creatividad brillaron con igual intensidad. El espectáculo cobró vida gracias al Director Gustavo Aquino Navarro, junto con los Asistentes de Dirección Katherine Pratt, Mackenzie Pullen y Marco Ferreira. Los elementos visuales y técnicos fueron ejecutados por Julia Gil (Iluminación y Sonido), Elias Estigarribia (Director de Escenario), Samara Giraldo y Maria del Mar Giraldo (Diseño de Utilería), y Catalina Montanaro y Michelle Burnett (Peinados y Maquillaje), con vestuario de Mabel Cisterna. Los números de baile fueron dirigidos por el equipo de coreografía estudiantil conformado por Nicole Mattosch, Martin Ferreira, Mirei Takahashi, Katherine Pratt y Mackenzie Pullen.

Finalmente, un enorme agradecimiento a todos los padres, maestros, estudiantes voluntarios y al equipo administrativo del ASA que apoyaron a nuestros talentosos artistas en cada paso del camino.
